Our Story

Naila moved to Brooklyn, New York in 2018. Her and Steve were doing what they normally do, staying up late watching movies when Steve asked Naila if she wanted a sandwich. They walked to the corner to the bodega and got a turkey hero. It wasn't anything fancy, it was honey turkey, American cheese, lettuce tomato, mayo, and oil and vinegar. It was the best sandwich that Naila had ever eaten. She grew up in North Carolina with a cooking mother so she was no sandwich expert. She told Steve that there wasn't anything like this in North Carolina. Steve couldn't believe it and thought that they should bring the New York style hero sandwich to North Carolina. They talked about it for a while and then decided to move forward in planning. Fast forward to August 21st, 2015 and Plumpeez Deli was born. We found the best local bread from Neomonde bakery. It contains no preservatives, eggs, milk, or butter! We use only Boars Head meats, cheeses, and condiments. Our veggies are sliced fresh throughout the day. We offer gluten free and veggie options as well! We are so happy to bring something new but healthy and fresh to North Carolina and we can't wait for you to experience Plumpeez for yourself!

When we decided to open Plumpeez we knew that we had a mission of giving back to our community that we wanted to fulfill. We decided that donating food to people in need would be how we could be able to pay it forward. By clicking blow you can purchase a token for someone else in need of food.
